Re : Meadowbrook and the Labrecque Commission

Dear Mayor Tremblay,

I am writing to you as a resident of [MUNICIPALITY], and a taxpayer of the Agglomeration of Montreal. It has been over 20 years that we have been requesting that Meadowbrook be saved as a natural green space.

In 2004, as Mayor of Montreal you undertook to save the golf course from development and promised that you would work in the best interests of all the residents of the west end. In June 2009, the Commission of the Agglomeration presided by Michel Labrecque, (now President of the STM), recommended that Meadowbrook be protected and that it be transformed into a nature park, a large urban park or eco territory which would be integrated into the green belt connected to the Falaise Saint-Jacques.

It is time for the City of Montreal and the Agglomeration to adopt the recommendations of the Labrecque Commission and to make good on the Mayor’s promise.

Listen to the people. Keep your word. Adopt the recommendations of the Labrecque Commission and Protect Meadowbrook.

Yours truly,
