1. Email Montreal Mayor Coderre: The most important thing you can do to help is to tell the mayor that you support saving Meadowbrook. The easiest way to do this is to email Montreal Mayor Coderre and copy Claude Dauphin (Borough Mayor of Lachine) at the following email addresses.
Montreal Mayor Coderre’s Email Address: maire@ville.montreal.qc.ca
Lachine Borough Mayor’s Email Address: cdauphin@ville.montreal.qc.ca
You can also send letters by regular mail to:
M. Denis Coderre
Mayor of the City of Montréal
Hôtel de ville de Montréal
275 rue Notre-Dame est
Montréal (Québec), H2Y 1C6
2. Get a friend to send an email: The more people who tell the mayor how important Meadowbrook is the more likely the city will help us save Meadowbrook. So please ask friends to send emails as well (addresses above).
3. Contribute to Les Amis de Meadowbrook: Many people are putting in a great deal of effort and money to support this cause and we also need your financial support. Please send cheques made out to Les Amis de Meadowbrook to the following address.
Les Amis de Meadowbrook
PO Box 55011
CP Bellmore
7005 Cote St. Luc
Cote St. Luc, QC H4V 0A1
(Contributions are not tax deductible because Les Amis actively lobbies for this cause and therefore cannot be granted tax-deductible status.)
4. Send letters to newspapers: Write a letter to a newspaper. Newspapers are always looking for letters to publish and many people read the letters to the editor. This is a way to get your opinion across to a much larger audience. The contacts for two of Montreal’s major newspapers are below but smaller local papers are also well read.
Gazette Letters to the Editor: letters@thegazette.canwest.com
La Presse Letters to Editor: http://www.cyberpresse.ca/contact/quotidien/contact-lapresse.php
5. Get Involved with Les Amis de Meadowbrook: If you have special skills that might be helpful or have a desire to get personally involved in saving Meadowbrook you can contact Les Amis de Meadowbrook at: sos.meadowbrook@yahoo.ca
